Brief Description of Tech Tool: This tool offers a variety of virtual math manipulatives. It also has different backgrounds to use for different activities (graphing, number lines, place value charts, etc.) Tools and backgrounds are divided by grade level so teachers can easily access appropriate tools for their classroom. This tool would be good for demonstrations or for student practice.
There is a fraction model tool that allows students to create any fraction. They can then line the fractions up next to each other to compare them or see if they are equivalent fractions.
Additional Information:
This tool was created to be used with the Everyday Math curriculum, but the tools can be used on their own as well. There is a wide variety of digital manipulatives such as dice, base ten blocks, pattern blocks, etc.
